表示高度可能性，相当于中文的“很可能/十有八九/几乎肯定”，用来传递说话者对某件事发生的强烈确信。
它是状语短语，修饰整个句子（而非单个动词/形容词），通常有3种位置：
1、 句首（引出推测，后接逗号）；
2、 句中（作为插入语，前后用逗号隔开）；
3、 句尾（补充说明可能性）。

不能修饰单个词：需修饰完整句子，比如不说"He in all probability is tired"，应说"In all probability, he is tired"（句首）或"He is, in all probability, tired"（句中）。
