有时也可将宾语置于 summon 和 up 之间（即 summon sth. up），但更常见的是“summon up + 宾语”。
1、 鼓起勇气/力量（最常用）：
表示克服恐惧或困难，聚集内在的勇气或力量做某事。
He summoned up the courage to tell his boss he was quitting.（他鼓起勇气告诉老板自己要辞职。）
I need to summon up all my strength to lift this box.（我得用尽全身力气才能抬起这个箱子。）
2、 唤起记忆/情感：
指通过某种触发（如事物、场景）唤起过去的记忆或强烈的情感。
The smell of freshly baked bread summoned up memories of my grandma’s kitchen.（新鲜烤面包的香味唤起了我对奶奶厨房的回忆。）
Her speech summoned up feelings of hope in the crowd.（她的演讲唤起了人群的希望之情。）
3、 激发意志力/决心：
表示聚集意志力完成困难的任务。
She summoned up the willpower to stop eating junk food.（她下定决心不再吃垃圾食品。）
主语：通常是人（主动“鼓起/唤起”），但有时物也可作主语（如“照片、气味”等触发记忆的事物）。
同义词：与 muster up（鼓起）、gather up（聚集）、call up（唤起）近义，可互换使用。
正式性：口语和书面语均常用，无明显语体限制。
