表达对他人的情感关注(如安危、感受、需求等)。
I really care about you. (我真的很关心你。)

表达对某件事的重视或担忧(如结果、影响、细节等)。
He doesn’t care about money—he just wants to be happy. (他不在乎钱——他只想要快乐。)
We should all care about the environment. (我们都应该关心环境。)

常用 don’t/doesn’t/didn’t care about,强调对某事物没有兴趣或重视。
I don’t care about your excuses—just finish the work! (我不在乎你的借口——赶紧完成工作!)
She doesn’t care about what others think of her. (她不在乎别人怎么看她。)
He cares about being on time for meetings. (他在意开会准时。)
Do you care about learning a new language? (你在意学一门新语言吗?)
从句作“about”的宾语,说明“关心的具体内容”。
I care about what you think of my idea. (我在意你对我想法的看法。)
She cares about whether he will come to the party. (她担心他会不会来派对。)
很多人会混淆这两个短语,需注意区别:
care about:侧重“关心/在意”(情感上的关注或重视);
care for:侧重“照顾;喜欢”(动作上的照料,或对事物的喜好)。
例:
I care about my sister. (我关心我妹妹。)→ 关注她的状态;
I care for my sister when she’s sick. (她生病时我照顾她。)→ 动作上的照料;
Do you care for coffee? (你喜欢咖啡吗?)→ 询问喜好。
