She ended off her speech with a moving quote from Martin Luther King.
Let's end off the party with a fireworks display—everyone will love it!
He ended off the project in style, winning a company award for it.
We ended off the day in exhaustion but with a sense of achievement.
Can we end off this meeting now? I have a doctor's appointment.
Let's end off here for today—we'll pick up the discussion tomorrow.
1、 end off vs. end up:
end off 是主动结束某事(强调动作);
I ended off the report before lunch.(我午饭前写完了报告。)
I ended up working late because the report was too long.(因为报告太长,我最后加班了。)
2、 end off vs. end with:
end off 更强调“结束的动作”(如“完成、收尾”);
She ended off her presentation with a Q&A session.(她用问答环节结束了演示【强调“完成演示”的动作】。)
The presentation ended with a Q&A session.(演示以问答环节结尾【强调“结尾的方式”】。)
