“跃进”常见的英文表达是 “leap forward” 或 “forging ahead”（后者更侧重于持续、有力地前进，有时也可体现类似“跃进”的积极推进态势） ，在不同语境下还可以有其它对应表述：
leap forward：强调快速、大幅度的进步或发展，带有一种突破性的意味，比较贴合“跃进”所表达的短时间内取得显著进展的含义。例如：The country has made a great leap forward in science and technology.（这个国家在科技方面取得了巨大的跃进。）
