“直径的”常见英文表达为 diametral 或 diametric，二者意思相近，但在使用上有一些细微差别：
diametral：更侧重于描述与直径直接相关的特性或位置，例如“diametral plane”（直径平面，即通过圆或球直径的平面） 。
